Drivers of Alzheimer’s Disease and a Gut-Focused Approach to Mental Health

Two new short courses this month on the Drivers of Alzheimer’s Disease with Dr Richard Johnson and a Gut-Focused Approach to Mental Health with Lara Zakaria
Dr Richard Johnson was the lead author of a recent American Journal of Clinical Nutrition paper alongside Drs Dale Bredesen and David Perlmutter. In this presentation, Richard shows us the latest on the dietary causes of neurodegeneration which provides new, clear ways that we can intervene for our patients.
The second short course is A Gut-Focused Approach to Mental Health with Lara Zakaria. For decades, approaches to the treatment of depression and anxiety have focused on neurotransmitter balance and function. In this presentation Lara explores the multitude of factors that impact mental health including inflammation and environment, but focusing on the gut-brain axis. Taking that aetiology into consideration, she will look at the implications of diet and nutraceuticals on improving mental health outcomes using a personalised approach.
We always love what these two presenters bring to the table and the clinical pearls you can use in practice that will have a big impact on your patient's lives. Click on the links above to watch now!
