Stephen Dansiger

About this course

In this course Dr Dansiger delves into the multifaceted nature of burnout within the healthcare profession. He will speak on the confluence of factors exacerbating burnout, such as increased workloads and the pervasive global trauma stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. You will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges clinicians face in maintaining your well-being.

A central theme explored in this class is the interplay between vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout. By elucidating how these elements intersect and contribute to the deterioration of clinicians' mental and emotional resilience you will come to recognise the intricate dynamics at play within the healthcare environment.

A transformative aspect of the presentation is the introduction of the "Clinical Dharma" framework for self-care, inspired by the teachings of Buddha. This framework emphasises mindfulness, compassion, and self-awareness. Clinical Dharma offers clinicians practical strategies to cultivate resilience and mitigate burnout.

Through insightful discussions and actionable insights this presentation will inspire you to embrace a holistic approach to well-being, fostering a culture of support and resilience both individually and within the greater healthcare community.
