About this course

In this class we will explore an Ayurvedic perspective on lifestyle circadian medicine with Mona Warner.

We begin with some introductory information on Ayurveda as an ancient system of medicine and its eight branches of practice. From there, we move into some of the foundational ideas that both inspire and govern the unfolding and basis for the Ayurvedic approach to health and healing - this includes the language of Ayurveda and its Five (5) Element theory, which builds into Doshas (organizing energies of the body).

Then we move into the various ways that Ayurveda aligns with natural rhythms, specifically seasons and daily routines. We explore the ideas behind Ayurvedic classifications of substances in order to understand how seasonal and daily routines are developed. Examples are explained to support the practical application in someone's life.
