About this course

Ferritin is a marker of iron storage in blood, which can be independently low from
hematocrit indices. The laboratory ranges of ferritin are not set based on research
but on statistics. This leaves many people who are iron deficient undiagnosed and
presenting with symptoms of fatigue and depression when the actual cause is low
iron. Dr. Allott will review the studies and important iron deficiency rule-outs and
discuss treatment options.
