About this course
This Functional Diagnostics Masterclass is a deep, thorough course giving you the skills to accurately assess and monitor sex hormone and HPA axis function.
Good diagnostics skills set the path for best clinical care, and finding out exactly what’s wrong with your patient comes first.
The vast complexity of the human body means we need to get a clear view of what’s happening inside. Having a label for your patient’s disorder is not enough. Each patient is unique and they respond differently to care, often due to underlying hormone irregularities.
You will learn about the latest diagnostic testing methods and techniques. These are rapidly advancing and we need to keep up with them and how they apply to your patients. The rapid changes in laboratory methods alter what you can see and what each of this parameters means.
Importantly, you will be learning how the sex and HPA hormones interact with each other. Often, you will see a hormone panel with all parameters normal, yet your patient is exhibiting symptoms. All hormones function together and a working knowledge of these interactions is key to incisive diagnosis and precise patient care.
The hormonal interrelationships are the art and science of diagnostics. To suit all countries, reference ranges will be provided in both mass and molar concentrations.
Sex hormone and HPA regulation is the foundation of almost every condition you see. Accurate diagnostics leads to a better understanding of your patient’s problems and what the causes might be. When you have a clear idea of what is happening for your patient, you have a much clearer path forward for them. They will more often achieve reliably quicker improvements. Getting diagnostics right saves time, money, frustration, and loss of patients.
You will be learning:
- Indications for each hormone and neurotransmitter assessment
- Assay methods and techniques
- Normal and optimal assay levels
- Clinically relevant interrelationships between hormones
- Which readings are relevant for specific conditions, and which not
- The most important hormone ratios and how they affect physiology
What you receive:
Clear protocol explanations from some of the world's top practitioners
Clinical pearls for improved practice results
Access to your audio and video recordings via the App Store
A downloadable PDF of the presenter’s slides
Links to all referenced research papers and useful clinical handouts
