Acute and chronic injuries are a very common clinical presentation. They are often associated with persistent, chronic physical pain. Most of these conditions can be substantially improved with the natural treatment protocols presented in this 11-part course. Practitioners utilising these treatments are getting great results, especially in conditions where there appears to be limited hope of improvement. In this Masterclass, you will learn new strategies for the most common injuries and disorders that you see in practice.
Many of the wide range of therapeutics that can be used for musculoskeletal disorders are rarely used by the majority of clinicians. These therapies include European and Chinese herbals, various nutraceuticals, exercise techniques, topical liniments, and poultices. Some of these are new, exciting nutriceuticals. Many are older, largely forgotten naturopathic tools and some are ancient Asian herbs and combinations. Even though they are so infrequently used, there is a large body of scientific evidence and substantial experiential support for them.
Your two presenters have considerable and varied clinical expertise in musculoskeletal injury and disorders. Dr Eugene Zampieron is an experienced naturopathic clinician with a black belt in two martial arts. Many of the remedies and techniques he will discuss, he has used on his fellow martial artists and also on some of the serious injuries that he has had. Dr Robert Silverman is a chiropractor with a strong interest and expertise in muscle and joint injury. See their bios below.
Both of your presenters have presented extensively on these topics in various settings. Eugene will give you exposure to a wide range of therapeutics, many of which are infrequently used but very effective. These include many Chinese herbal formulae and topical applications. Robert’s practical experience seeing musculoskeletal conditions every day gives and unique combination of skills and techniques to assist our patients with the many conditions covered in this program.
Also covered will be tissue resilience and injury prevention. Robert Silverman will present a Functional Fitness session where he will detail techniques and training strategies to increase tissue strength, improve stability to reduce injury, and also movement to reduce pain.
