About this course

Dr Shelley Burns ND has created a webinar series that walks us through the distinct life stages that women experience and gives us insight into how we are best to support women at these times. Throughout a woman’s life, her physiology and health requirements change considerably. She progresses through a pre-reproductive, reproductive and then post-reproductive phases. Each of these stages have substantial differences both hormonal and physiological.

Shelley Burns is a Naturopathic Physician specialising in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Paediatrics. She has considerable expertise in Women’s Health and has developed this course due to her dissatisfaction with the reactionary model of care. She felt that women needed better health care than was being provided and has worked hard to develop a new model that is more preventive and holistic.

Each module of this series looks at the principal risk factors that women are facing at each life stage and how they are best to prevent these. Shelley will also discuss which diagnostic tests are most appropriate at these times. Each stage also has specific treatment options for those women that may have developed the conditions associated with the stage of life.
